Miami-Dade County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the negotiation and execution of amendments to a lease and plans for the Mental Health Center located at 2200 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, Florida. The resolution approves non-competitive designated purchases for contracts with The Village South, Inc. (and its parent WestCare Foundation, Inc.) for mental health services up to $27,218,627.00, and The Advocate Program Inc. for ancillary services up to $4,169,861.00. Total estimated costs for services and operations are up to $45,687,127.00 over an initial three-year term. The resolution also approves an Opioid Funding Disbursement and Implementation Plan for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 through September 30, 2031, and directs the issuance of expedited RFPs for outpatient treatment and transitional housing services. The County Commission also established policy to ensure core County services remain fully funded and not impacted by Center funding.
