Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving the amended Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget for the Miami Gardens Community Redevelopment Agency and Area, totaling $13,491,027.00. This approval is contingent upon the negotiation of a right-to-use agreement for the Miami Gardens Performing Arts Center (also known as the North Dade Cultural Arts Center) by the County. The budget includes $10,651,409 for the Performing Arts Center reserves, $2,000,000 for associated professional services, $500,418 for the Agency's SMART Plan contribution, $300,000 for infrastructure improvements, and administrative/operating expenses. If the right-to-use agreement is not successfully negotiated within 60 days of the resolution's effective date, the resolution will be void. The County's TIF payment is $2,001,673 and the City's is $3,035,463.
