OEM REPAIR (FIRE EQUIPMENT)
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-490-26, authorizing an extension of five years and an additional $17,600,000.00 in expenditure authority for Prequalification Pool No. EVN0043091 (also referenced as RTQ-01468), for OEM Repair and Service for Fire Rescue Equipment. This brings the total modified cumulative pool amount to $36,202,842.00. The extension is for the Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR). Any contract award under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00, or $1,500,000.00 for MDAD, requires ratification by the Board. The pool was initially established on January 20, 2021, for a five-year term. The extension will allow for continued procurement of OEM parts and services for fire suppression, construction, and heavy-duty motor vehicles, including fire rescue vehicles at Miami International Airport and heavy fleet vehicles for MDFR. The pool remains open, and additional qualified vendors may be added at any time. Due diligence was performed on prequalified vendors with no adverse findings. The two percent User Access Program applies where permitted, and Small Business Enterprise measures and Local Preference will be applied at the time of spot market competition where permitted.
