Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-490-26, extending Prequalification Pool No. EVN0043091 (also referenced as RTQ-01468) for OEM Repair and Service for Fire Rescue Equipment. The extension grants an additional five years with an expenditure authority of $17,600,000.00, bringing the total modified cumulative pool amount to $36,202,842.00. This pool serves the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department (MDFR) for maintenance and repair of fire suppression, construction, and heavy-duty motor vehicles and related components. Contract awards under the pool exceeding $5,000,000.00, or $1,500,000.00 for MDAD, require Board ratification. The pool was initially established on January 20, 2021, with a five-year term. The extension aims to streamline processes, reduce administrative work for vendors and the County, and ensure critical fire rescue apparatus remain operational.
