Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance amending the boundaries of the Ojus Sanitary Sewer Special Benefit Area (OSSSBA) by adding one property and ratifying the non-ad valorem assessment roll, rates, and assessments for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The total assessment for the special benefit, including financing charges, is $21,223,217.00 over 28 years. The newly added parcel will have an annual assessment of $0.5656 per square foot. The ordinance was adopted on final action on June 2, 2026, following a favorable recommendation from the Infrastructure, Innovation & Technology Committee on May 13, 2026, and first reading adoption on April 21, 2026. The OSSSBA serves to provide for the expansion of sanitary sewer service to certain non-residential and non-institutional parcels in unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
