Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing properties. This resolution grants a three-year extension from the adoption date for construction and obtaining final certificates of occupancy on multiple county-owned properties previously conveyed for the Infill Housing Initiative Program. The developer has returned several lots to the county and has committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on other properties.
