Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-560-26, authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct, complete, and sell or rent affordable housing properties. This resolution grants a three-year extension from the adoption date for construction and obtaining final certificates of occupancy on multiple county-owned properties previously conveyed for the Infill Housing Initiative Program. The developer has returned 12 lots and is returning 3 additional lots, including properties at 550 NW 22nd Street and 2185 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL. Palmetto Homes will also undertake the construction of a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed by Mana.
