Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing properties. This resolution grants a three-year extension from the adoption date for construction and obtaining certificates of occupancy on multiple previously conveyed County-owned properties. The developer has also returned several lots to the County and has committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on other properties. The original conveyances were for developing homes for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under the Infill Housing Initiative Program and Florida Statutes.
