PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing on multiple county-owned properties. The extension is for three years from the adoption date of the resolution. The properties are designated for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under the Infill Housing Initiative Program and Florida Statutes. The resolution also authorizes the execution of amended and restated county deeds and grants the County Mayor or designee authority to enforce deed provisions and exercise reversionary interests. Palmetto Homes has returned 15 lots to the county, including three specific properties at 550 NW 22nd Street, 2185 NW 5th Place, and 2173 NW 5th Place, Miami, FL. Palmetto Homes has also committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on other properties.
