PALMETTO HOMES ADDITIONAL EXTENSION FOR 30 LOTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing an extension for Palmetto Homes Urban Development Group, Inc. to construct and complete affordable housing on multiple county-owned properties. The extension is for three years from the adoption date of the resolution. The properties are intended for very low-, low-, or moderate-income households under the Infill Housing Initiative Program and Florida Statutes Section 125.379. The resolution also authorizes the execution of amended and restated county deeds and empowers the County Mayor or designee to enforce deed provisions and exercise reversionary interests if necessary. Palmetto Homes has returned 12 lots and three specific properties to the County as part of this process. The developer has also committed to constructing a Puerto Rican Community Center along with multifamily housing on properties to be conveyed by Mana.
