Board of County Commissioners · 2026-06-02 · ordinance
Miami-Dade County Ordinance File Number 260868 amends Sections 31-102 and 31-107 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, revising vehicle age requirements for passenger motor carrier vehicles (PMCs). The ordinance allows PMCs providing circulator or fixed route services to operate up to 20 model years of age or 350,000 miles, whichever comes first, an increase from the previous limits of 10 model years generally and 15 model years for circulator/fixed route services. The change was prompted by a resolution from the City of Coral Gables urging the amendment. The ordinance was adopted on first reading by the Board of County Commissioners on June 2, 2026, and recommended for forwarding with amendments by the Transportation Committee on July 14, 2026. It is expected to become effective ten days after enactment.
