An ordinance was proposed to create Section 8-9 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida, establishing a Same-Day Permitting Program for certain minor residential projects. The ordinance was adopted on first reading by the Board of County Commissioners on June 16, 2026, but was later withdrawn by the Policy Council on July 13, 2026.
