Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance approving, adopting, and ratifying special assessment district rates for certain Special Taxing Districts for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2026, and ending September 30, 2027. The rates for 830 out of 1,103 active Special Taxing Districts are decreasing or remaining flat. These districts provide services including street lighting, security guard, multipurpose maintenance, and capital improvement/road maintenance. The total assessment for districts with decreasing or flat rates is $16,453,125. The ordinance supersedes conflicting enactments and will become effective ten days after enactment.
