Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted an ordinance creating the Palm Bay South Multipurpose Maintenance Special Taxing District. This district is generally bounded by Theoretical SW 215 Street (North), SW 110 Avenue (East), SW 216 Street/Hainlin Drive (South), and Theoretical SW 110 Place (West). The district will provide maintenance for landscaped swales, medians, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior fencing/walls, including turf, trees, shrubs, and irrigation, if any association or community development district fails to do so. It will also maintain private roads under specific conditions. The estimated cost for the first year is $51,606.50 ($1.8891 per assessable square foot), and $37,853.11 ($1.3856 per assessable square foot) for the second year. The district was requested by 100% of the property owners, specifically Palm Bay South, LLC, the sole owner and developer. The district will be managed by the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
