Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted the 2026 Transit Development Plan (TDP) Major Update, covering the 10-year period from Fiscal Year 2026 through Fiscal Year 2035. This plan, branded as MDT10Ahead, is a requirement for transit agencies receiving state funds and serves as a strategic guide for transit needs, infrastructure, investment, land use relationships, and future demand. The update includes a 10-year operating and capital program and is coordinated with other county and regional transportation plans. Public input was gathered through surveys, pop-up events, and an Advisory Review Committee. The plan was forwarded to the Florida Department of Transportation for consideration and approval to secure State Public Transit Block Grant funds. The adoption is a prerequisite for receiving these funds.
