Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-525-26, ratifying the County Mayor's actions to apply for, receive, and expend $627,835.00 from the Fiscal Year 2025 Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency. The grant funds, received in November 2025, will support security training exercises led by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office in coordination with the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) to enhance the safety and resilience of the County's transportation system.
