Miami-Dade County is holding a countywide special election on November 3, 2026, to vote on amending the Home Rule Charter. The proposed amendment addresses the reestablishment of elected County Constitutional Offices (Sheriff, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections), clarifies duties of the Clerk and County regarding finance and budget, and requires County employees to take a leave of absence when running for an elected Constitutional Office.
