Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Business Associate Agreement (BAA), and Qualified Service Organization Agreement with Airojen Center, Corp., d/b/a Comprehensive Psychiatric Center (CPC). This agreement will allow CPC to provide behavioral health counseling, toxicology and infectious disease screenings, supportive services, and the storage and administration of Methadone for Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) at the New Direction Residential Treatment Facility. The term is two years with three one-year renewal options. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this item with a favorable recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners. The agreement aims to expand MAT services for individuals with Substance Use Disorder, particularly Opioid Use Disorder, and is considered a best practice in treatment.
