AMEND CDMP - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE STORAGE
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Commissioners are directing the County Mayor or designee to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP). The amendment aims to provide more flexibility in meeting the minimum 10-acre acreage requirement for commercial vehicle storage. This flexibility would allow properties that are not adjoining or adjacent, but are within a certain distance (e.g., separated by a roadway or a single intervening parcel) or under common ownership and operating as a unified business, to be aggregated to meet the minimum acreage. Additionally, the County Mayor or designee is directed to evaluate vacant County-owned parcels for suitability for commercial vehicle storage and provide a report with recommendations within 90 days. A limited stay of certain enforcement actions related to commercial vehicle storage violations that would be legalized by these amendments is also directed for one year. The Board of County Commissioners deferred this item on December 16, 2025, and again on June 2, 2026. The agenda date for this item was July 21, 2026.
