AMEND CDMP - COMMERCIAL VEHICLE STORAGE

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Commissioners are directing the County Mayor to file an application to amend the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) to allow more flexibility in meeting the minimum 10-acre requirement for commercial vehicle storage. This includes allowing properties that are not adjacent but are within a certain distance (e.g., separated by a roadway or single intervening parcel) or under common ownership to be aggregated. The County Mayor is also directed to evaluate vacant county-owned parcels for suitability for commercial vehicle storage and provide a report within 90 days. A limited stay of enforcement actions for certain commercial vehicle storage violations will be implemented for one year. This legislative matter was deferred from previous meetings. The Board of County Commissioners deferred this item on 6/2/2026 and previously on 12/16/2025.
