CEI SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE UNDERLINE

Miami-Dade County Commission approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) services for The Underline Phase 3 – Segments 3 to 9. The agreement with Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. increases the maximum contract value by $2,252,721.83 to a total of $8,252,721.83 and extends the contract term by 270 days to 1,654 non-compensable calendar days. This is to ensure continuous and adequate construction oversight due to expanded scope and extended schedule approved on December 16, 2025, which incorporated stakeholder-driven enhancements, technical refinements, and additional construction duration. The additional CEI services will support enhanced quality assurance, increased inspection and coordination for added project elements like corridor-wide Wi-Fi, and extended construction oversight. The project is a 7.36-mile multimodal corridor beneath the Metrorail system.
