Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution approving a Development Lease Agreement (DLA) with MQ TMB Holdings, LLC for a 310,026 square foot parcel of land at Miami Executive Airport. The lease term is 25 years with a five-year renewal option. MQ TMB will develop aviation hangar facilities, taxi lane, and ancillary infrastructure with a minimum investment of $7,000,000.00. The project is projected to generate $6,372,695.00 in revenue to the County over the initial term. The agreement requires approval from traffic and consulting engineers and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The development will occur in two phases, with Phase 1 completion expected within 36 months of lease execution and Phase 2 within 60 months. MQ TMB will also provide community benefits through fuel sales donations to George T. Baker Aviation Technical College and will work to minimize noise impacts on surrounding communities. The resolution also affirms the County's commitment to expediting permit reviews for development at MDAD airports.
