Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to ratify an emergency contract (E-10684) for Electrical Infrastructure Oversight and Maintenance Service to Solares Electrical Services, Inc. for $358,256. This contract is for the People and Internal Operations Department and covers the Lightspeed Facility, which houses critical operations like the 911 call center, 311, and the Real Time Crime Center. The emergency was declared after a construction incident on April 25, 2025, by Suffolk Construction Company, Inc. compromised the facility's electrical systems. Solares Electrical Services, Inc. was already on-site and uniquely qualified to provide immediate oversight and maintenance.
