Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program for environmental remediation projects that protect the drinking water supply. The program will use utility service fee monies and is limited to County-owned properties (including those under long-term lease) or properties previously owned by the County before January 1, 2025. Remediation projects must be 10 acres or greater and provide a specific benefit to the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. Loans will be zero-interest and repaid over a maximum of 35 years.
