ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program funded by utility service fees for environmental remediation projects. The program targets County-owned properties or former County-owned properties (prior to January 1, 2025) that are 10 acres or larger. The remediation must be for drinking water supply protection and benefit the Water and Sewer Department. Loans will be zero-interest and repaid over up to 35 years. The ordinance amends Section 24-34 of the Code of Miami-Dade County. The Board of County Commissioners will consider this ordinance.
