ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program for environmental remediation projects focused on drinking water supply protection. This program will utilize funds from the Utility Service Fee and is intended to benefit the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. Eligible properties must be County-owned or formerly County-owned (prior to January 1, 2025), and be 10 acres or larger. Loans will have zero percent interest, be repaid over a maximum of 35 years, and require Board of County Commissioners approval. The ordinance is currently in committee.
