ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND UTILITY SERVICE FEE

Miami-Dade County is establishing a loan program funded by utility service fees for environmental remediation projects that protect drinking water supply. The program applies to County-owned properties (including leased ones) or properties previously owned by the County as of January 1, 2025. Eligible properties must be 10 acres or larger. Loans will have zero percent interest, be repaid over 35 years, and require Board of County Commissioners approval. The program aims to benefit the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.
