Ordinance to change the boundaries of the City of Florida City, Florida, to annex unincorporated Area J. The annexation area's approximate outer boundaries are SW 328th Street (SW 7th Street) to the north, SW 192nd Avenue to the east, SW 344th Street to the south, and SW 199th Avenue to the west. The legal description includes the West 1/2 of Section 23 and the East 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 22, both in Township 57 South, Range 38 East. Conditions include the County retaining utility tax revenues and jurisdiction over residential garbage and refuse collection/disposal (unless delegated via interlocal agreement), jurisdiction over certain restrictive covenants, and jurisdiction over Areas and Facilities of Countywide Jurisdiction (including a wellfield protection area, Rock Pit #39 Preserve, and a natural forest community). The City must pay $1,709.71 for outstanding stormwater bond debt service. The ordinance is contingent upon the execution of an interlocal agreement between the City and the County.
