Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering funding recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2025-26 State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Homebuyer Education and Counseling Request for Applications (RFA). Four entities are recommended for awards totaling up to $750,000.00. NID-HCA Florida Felton dba Experts Resource Community Center, Inc. is recommended for $200,000. Centro Campesino Farmworker Center is recommended for $200,000. Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida is recommended for $150,000. Housing Foundation of America, Inc. is recommended for $200,000. Two applicants, Oasis of Hope Community Development Corporation, Inc. and Little Haiti Housing Association Inc. DBA Haitian American CDC, were not recommended for funding due to not meeting the minimum score threshold. The Housing Committee forwarded the item to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
