Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering the FY 2025-26 State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Homebuyer Education and Counseling Request for Applications (RFA). The proposed funding recommendation is up to $750,000.00 to be awarded to four entities for homebuyer education and counseling services across the county. The Housing Committee forwarded the item with a favorable recommendation. Two applicants, Oasis of Hope Community Development Corporation, Inc. and Little Haiti Housing Association Inc. DBA Haitian American CDC, were not recommended for funding as they did not meet the minimum score requirement.
