Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution R-594-26 on July 21, 2026, authorizing the issuance of up to $350,000,000 in General Obligation Bonds (Building Better Communities Program). These bonds will be used to fund approved capital project costs and issuance expenses. The bonds will initially be issued as Drawdown Bonds, with a maximum of $200,000,000 outstanding at any one time, and can be converted to fixed rate or alternate floating rate bonds. Wells Fargo Municipal Capital Strategies, LLC was selected to purchase the Drawdown Bonds. The resolution reaffirms previous authorizations for various project categories including water and sewer, parks, public infrastructure, public safety, healthcare, public service outreach, housing, and cultural/library facilities, with specific aggregate principal limits for each category established in prior resolutions dating back to 2004. The County Mayor is authorized to finalize terms, execute agreements, and manage the issuance and conversion processes.
