Miami-Dade County is establishing the Harmony Homes Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by SW 325 Street (North), SW 194 Avenue (East), SW 328 Street (Lucy Street) (South), and SW 197 Avenue (Richard Road) (West). The project involves maintenance of landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, and exterior walls/fencing abutting public rights-of-way, as well as street lighting installation and operation. The estimated initial costs for multipurpose maintenance are $79,437.60, and for street lighting are $125,783.92 for the first year, with subsequent years having different estimated costs. The district is located within Commission District 9. The developer, Harmony Three, LLC, is the sole property owner and requested the district. The ordinance is in draft, with a first reading scheduled for July 21, 2026, and a public hearing on September 1, 2026. The street lighting agreement will be with Florida Power and Light. The district is expected to commence street lighting services in November 2028.
