Miami-Dade County is establishing the Harmony Homes Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district will provide maintenance for landscaped areas, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, and lakes, as well as street lighting services. The initial cost for multipurpose maintenance is estimated at $79,437.60 annually, and for street lighting, the first year's cost is estimated at $125,783.92, with subsequent years estimated at $29,042.16. The developer, Harmony Three, LLC, requested the district, which is a subdivision requirement. The Board of County Commissioners is considering this ordinance, with a first reading on June 15, 2026, and a public hearing tentatively scheduled for July 21, 2026. Florida Power and Light (FPL) will be involved in the street lighting installation and maintenance.
