Miami-Dade County is establishing the Harmony Homes Multipurpose Maintenance and Street Lighting Special Taxing District. The district is generally bounded by SW 325 Street (North), SW 194 Avenue (East), SW 328 Street (Lucy Street) (South), and SW 197 Avenue (Richard Road) (West). It is located in Section 14, Township 57 South, Range 38 East. The project involves multipurpose maintenance (landscaped swales, medians, common areas, entrance features, wetlands, lakes, exterior fencing/walls, turf, trees, shrubs, irrigation) and the installation of approximately 28 LED streetlights. The estimated initial costs for the first year are $79,437.60 for maintenance and $125,783.92 for street lighting. For the second year, estimated costs are $79,437.60 for maintenance and $29,042.16 for street lighting. The developer, Harmony Three, LLC, is responsible for initial funding. The district will be managed by Miami-Dade County's Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. The ordinance is in draft, with a first reading on June 15, 2026, and an agenda date of July 21, 2026. The anticipated start of street lighting services is November 2028.
