Miami-Dade County Commission is considering a resolution to approve the issuance of multifamily housing revenue debt obligations, not to exceed $32,680,000.00, by the Housing Finance Authority of Miami-Dade County. The funds will be loaned to Colony Lakes Housing, L.P. to finance the acquisition and rehabilitation of the Colony Lakes multifamily housing rental project, located on approximately 15 acres at 1500 East Mowry Drive, Homestead. The project is expected to preserve or provide approximately 220 units of rental housing for low, moderate, or middle-income persons or families. The Housing Finance Authority held a public hearing on June 17, 2026, and disclosed no reason why the debt should not be issued. The Board of County Commissioners is expected to take action on July 21, 2026. The Series 2026 Bonds are expected to be issued by September of 2026.
