HURRICANE RECOVERY SERVICES MOU

Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with municipalities for debris removal, staging, reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The services will be provided under pre-established, competitively bid emergency contracts. Requesting municipalities will compensate the County for services rendered. The MOU will be managed by the Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM). This initiative follows a similar agreement after Hurricane Irma in 2017 and a recent request from North Bay Village in February 2025.
