HURRICANE RECOVERY SERVICES MOU
Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution
Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a Resolution to approve and authorize the execution of a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and municipalities for the provision of debris removal, staging and reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The County has existing competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. Requesting municipalities will compensate the County for services rendered. The MOU will be managed by the Department of Solid Waste Management. This initiative follows a similar MOU executed after Hurricane Irma in 2017. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation.
