Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a standard form Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and municipalities for debris removal, staging, reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has three pre-established competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for services rendered. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The MOU will be managed by Bolanle Shorunke-Jean, Assistant Director, Financial Services, DSWM Chief Financial Officer.
