Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a Resolution to approve and authorize the execution of a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and municipalities for the provision of debris removal, staging and reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The County has three pre-established competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for services rendered. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded this item to the Board with a favorable recommendation. The Board is expected to approve the MOU, allowing the County Mayor or designee to execute it and exercise its provisions. The MOU will be in effect during hurricane season or until financial obligations are met. Services include debris removal, staging and reduction, long-term hauling and disposal, and monitoring.
