HURRICANE RECOVERY SERVICES MOU

Miami-Dade County is seeking approval for a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with municipalities for debris removal, staging, reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services, primarily for hurricane recovery. The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has pre-established, competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. The MOU allows DSWM to include other requesting municipalities in its Debris Removal Program for hurricane clean-up and recovery. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for services rendered. The item was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation by the Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee.
