HURRICANE RECOVERY SERVICES MOU

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is considering a Resolution to approve and authorize the execution of a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and requesting municipalities for debris removal, staging, reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has pre-established, competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for services rendered. The Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee forwarded the item to the BCC with a favorable recommendation. The MOU will be managed by Bolanle Shorunke-Jean, Assistant Director, Financial Services, DSWM.
