Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a standard form Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Miami-Dade County and municipalities for the provision of debris removal, staging and reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has pre-established, competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. The requesting municipality will compensate the County for services rendered. The MOU will be managed by Bolanle Shorunke-Jean, Assistant Director, Financial Services, DSWM Chief Financial Officer. The item was forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation by the Intergovernmental and Economic Impact Committee on June 10, 2026.
