HURRICANE RECOVERY SERVICES MOU

Miami-Dade County is seeking to approve and authorize the execution of a standard Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with municipalities for the provision of debris removal, staging and reduction, long-range hauling, and monitoring services. This MOU is intended to facilitate hurricane clean-up and recovery operations. The Department of Solid Waste Management (DSWM) has pre-established, competitively bid emergency contracts for these services. Requesting municipalities will compensate the County for services rendered based on rates established at the time of a storm event. The MOU will be managed by the DSWM and will be in effect only during hurricane season or until financial obligations are met.
