LAP AGREEMENTS FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS

Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is set to ratify two Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) totaling $268,753 for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) design improvements. The agreements are FM No. 447597-1-38-01 for North Miami Beach Senior High School ($96,229) and FM No. 447600-1-38-01 for Homestead Middle School ($172,524). The SRTS program uses federal funds to improve safety for children walking or bicycling to school. Miami-Dade County Public Schools applied for the funds, partnering with the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) for oversight and reimbursement. The BCC is expected to approve the resolution on July 21, 2026. Public comment is not stated.
