Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to ratify two Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) totaling $268,753. These agreements are for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) design improvements. One agreement, valued at $96,229, is for North Miami Beach Senior High School, and the other, valued at $172,524, is for Homestead Middle School. The County will receive program funds from FDOT, with upfront funding provided by the DTPW General Fund, which will be reimbursed. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute contracts, agreements, and amendments related to these funds. The projects aim to enhance transportation safety, mobility, and connectivity for school children walking or bicycling to school. The agreements were executed on October 10, 2025. The matter is on the Consent Agenda for July 21, 2026.
