LAP AGREEMENTS FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to ratify two Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) totaling $268,753. These agreements are for 'Safe Routes to School' design improvements. One agreement, valued at $96,229 (FM No. 447597-1-38-01), is for North Miami Beach Senior High School, located in Commission District 4. The second agreement, valued at $172,524 (FM No. 447600-1-38-01), is for Homestead Middle School, located in Commission District 8. The County will provide upfront funding from its General Fund, which will be reimbursed by FDOT. The Department of Transportation and Public Works will monitor the design phase.
