Board of County Commissioners · 2026-07-21 · resolution

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to ratify two Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) totaling $268,753. These agreements are for Safe Routes to School (SRTS) design improvements. One agreement, valued at $96,229, is for North Miami Beach Senior High School, located in Commission District 4. The second agreement, valued at $172,524, is for Homestead Middle School, located in Commission District 8. The County Mayor or designee is authorized to execute these and any necessary amendments. The SRTS program aims to improve safety for children walking or bicycling to school. Miami-Dade County Public Schools submitted applications, and DTPW will oversee the design phase, with FDOT reimbursing the county.
