LAP AGREEMENTS FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL IMPROVEMENTS

Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is set to ratify two Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreements with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Safe Routes to School improvements. The total value for the design of these improvements is $268,753.00. One agreement, valued at $96,229.00, is for North Miami Beach Senior High School, located in Commission District 4. The second agreement, valued at $172,524.00, is for Homestead Middle School, located in Commission District 8. The agreements aim to enhance transportation safety, mobility, and connectivity for school children. Upfront funding is provided by the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) General Fund, with reimbursement from FDOT. The design phase will be monitored by Dalila Fernandez, P.E., School Section Head, DTPW.
