Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners is considering a resolution to authorize the County Mayor or designee to receive and expend grant funds of $900,000.00 from The Miami Foundation for the Department of Cultural Affairs. The grant is for a three-year term, from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2029, to support operations and activities. Funds can be used for overhead, marketing, supplies, and administrative expenses, but cannot be regranted to specific individuals or organizations. Any allocation to specific events, programs, or initiatives requires prior Board approval. The grant does not require matching funds from the County. The Department of Cultural Affairs will manage and monitor the grant, submitting annual reports.
