Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue Department (MDFR) is partnering with The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County (operating Jackson Health System, including Ryder Trama Center) for an Advance Tactical Medical (ATM) Training program. This no-cost Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will provide advanced medical training to all MDFR paramedics, with priority for members of Urban Search and Rescue Florida Task Force 1 and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Special Response Team. The training includes classroom education, cadaver workshops, and hands-on patient care experience with trauma teams at Ryder Trama Center. The MOU is for an initial five-year term with two five-year renewal options. The Safety and Health Committee forwarded this to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) with a favorable recommendation.
